For the Toronto Rush, this weekend feels bigger than just two games.

Dubbed “Ultimate Weekend,” the upcoming showdown against the DC Breeze on Friday night and the highly anticipated Sunday clash with the defending champion Boston Glory could have major implications on the Eastern Division playoff race in the Ultimate Frisbee Association.

The Toronto Rush delivered one of their most impressive performances of the season this past weekend, grinding out a statement road win against the Montreal Royal despite arriving shorthanded due to injuries. Heading into Montreal, the odds were stacked against Toronto. Several key contributors were unavailable, forcing the Rush to lean heavily on depth players and younger athletes in critical situations.
