The Chicago Wildfire are proud to announce the 2018 roster! 20 players return from last season’s team, and new additions like Kurt Gibson, Nate Goff, and Ross Barker will help push this season’s team into competition for the Midwest division title. See the full roster below:

Today the Chicago Wildfire announced a new partnership with North Central College in Naperville, and will play 6 of their 7 home games on the campus at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.

“We’re excited to work with North Central and the Naperville community this year. We met with lots of schools and lots of stadiums, but North Central’s location will enable us to better engage with youth programs and the suburban fan base we serve,” said CJ O’Brien, managing partner for the Wildfire.

The Chicago Wildfire have announced that Jack Shey will return as captain for the 2018 season. Shey was unanimously voted by his teammates to return as a captain in 2017 and shows continuity and strength as he leads the team into 2018. When asked what he’s looking forward to in the season ahead, Shey commented, “We want to continue developing some of the younger guys from last year while encouraging everyone to build on the one-team mentality that we established in 2017.”

The Chicago Wildfire announced today that Adrian King will return to coach for a second season. King looks to build on the strong culture of commitment and hard work he established in his first year running the program. “Our record last season was less than optimal, and that weighed down on the players emotionally. Realistically, though, we lost a bunch of games by a few points, which is fine when you take an aerial view.
