My child is a rising sophomore but really wants to attend the professional portion of this camp, what are my options?
Option A: Your child can attend the Professional Ultimate Academy in Grand Rapids, MI on July 14-19th which is open to participants ages 15-18.
Option B: Your child can sign up to attend the Seattle Ultimate portion of the camp. While the curriculum will be different your child will still get a quality week-long camp experience.

What skill level does my child need to be to attend?
While there is no hard and fast rule we recommend your child have played at least two years of organized ultimate and is roughly a “YCC” level player. If you have further questions or concerns on whether this is the right fit for your child please contact camp director Matt Smith (matt.smith@watchufa.com)

How do I get my child to Whidbey Island?
It’s a 3-hr drive from Seattle which includes a ferry ride in the middle. Local participants will be expected to drive, out-of-state participants should plan on arriving at SEA-TAC airport by 4pm on Sunday, August 11th and they will be transported via passenger van. They will be returned to SEA-TAC airport by 1pm on Saturday, August 17th.

Will gameplay be mixed or single gender?
We will incorporate both types of play throughout the camp as we believe both are important for skill development. Hopefully, we will have at least 15-20 FMP and MMPs each so we have the option of scrimmaging separately as well.

Who will be coaching the program?
Specific coaches will be announced in early 2024 but they will be strong professional players who have also demonstrated a history of working with youth in their local communities.

What should I bring?
Recommended packing list here.

What will we eat?
Enjoy homemade buffet-style meals served at the Mess Hall by the Camp Casey dining services: breakfast, lunch, dinner. View photos here.

Where will campers stay?
Camp Casey is a retired military base with an impressive row of bunk rooms. We'll be in dorm-style housing, with 1-2 campers in each room and bathrooms on each floor. View photos here.

Is financial aid available?
Yes, please reach out to the camp directors Matt Smith (matt.smith@watchufa.com) and Xtehn Titcomb Frame (xtehn@seattlecascades.com).
