Zack Burpee grew up in Seattle and fell in love with the sport of ultimate around the same time that he fell in love with music. Those two passions, along with a desire to learn about the world, have shaped his path since. He's had amazing opportunities to play ultimate and meet people in many different cities in the US and around the world and is so grateful for the friendliness and generosity of the ultimate community. One particularly special experience was during his study abroad semester in Amman, Jordan, where he coached and played with the Jordanian club team Bedouin Falcons, competing at the Middle East and North African Championships in Jedda, Saudi Arabia, in 2022. He also had the chance to play trumpet in a band there, making incredible friends and performing around Amman and the country.
Burpee just moved down to DC and is really enjoying the city so far. In addition to playing with the Breeze, he's excited to pursue his professional career in policy work, as well as continue playing music with a cover band at venues around DC.
