Xavier Schafer was born and raised in Upstate NY. He played baseball his whole life before picking up ultimate in college. Schafer spent 4 years playing at Le Moyne College where he studied chemistry, biology, and physics, en route to a Bachelor’s degree. He continued his ultimate career in the club scene, as he attended graduate school at Syracuse University/SUNY ESF. While there, he did research on the environmental chemistry of mercury and earned a Master’s degree.
Schafer moved to central Maryland in 2021 after landing a job as a Chemist/Environmental Scientist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and is currently enjoying his time exploring the DMV area with his German Shepherd pup, Nalu, and striving to become the best version of an ultimate player that he can.
